So I thought I would give it a try and was pleasntly surprised so far. The shows rating did hold in back somewhat for me as an adult, but hey this is one more for the kids right? I got it for the kids, but they passed on it (fronite/apex is king).
On the techincal side the animation was fun and exciting to watch. Her romantic conflict, heroes journey and spritiutal arc seem all done in book one that I hazard to go beyond book one. Learns from and needs help from her old mentor and new friends. She tries and fails and tries and fails again. I watched all of book one and enjoyed it.
My take on TLOK is more of a preview than a review. I have no knowlege of the Avatar beyond the live action movie.
